National Industries for the Blind Successfully Completes ISO 9001:2000 Re-Certification

National Industries for the Blind (NIB) has successfully completed the fourth annual ISO 9001:2000 re-certification audit.  ISO 9001 is a series of documents that define requirements for the Quality Management System Standard.  Many organizations decide to Implement ISO 9001 and obtain registration because it assures customers that the company has a good Quality Management System (QMS) in place. An organization with an effective QMS will typically meet customer expectations better than an organization that does not have an effective QMS.

The external auditor from Bureau Veritas Certification North America interviewed key NIB staff and leadership personnel and reviewed written procedures and compliance documentation.  His reported findings verified that NIB has successfully completed the re-certification.  Digital Data Scan® is a service offered by NIB in partnership with its associated nonprofit organizations.
